Have you ever had the feeling of only just meeting someone but feeling like you’ve known them forever? Well, that’s the feeling I have after my first full week as a member of the Upp B2B team and here’s an overview of my whirlwind of a week at Upp towers plus a few photos of my first quarterly team meet up – a School Sports Day themed team day of fun and competing.
Having already met most of the team on the recent agency away day the usual nerves and anticipation of meeting my new colleagues were eased but seeing everyone in their working environment, would things be different? I’m glad to say the friendly and welcoming bunch I met on the team offsite day were exactly the same on my first day in the office.

On my arrival, I was immediately taken with the warm welcome (and cuppa) by our Client Services Director Alex and my induction box from the wider team, a literal treasure chest of goodies including all the essentials for my first day in the office…needless to say the high end cookies didn’t make it into day two!
My first week has flown by and it feels like so much has been crammed in already and I’m buzzing with possibility to make my impact. From detailed client background overviews, to a potted history of Upp’s origins from co-founder and Director Max, as well as getting a tour of some of the fantastic client work that the team has recently produced.
I’ve already had the privilege of being introduced to several of the agency’s clients whose accounts I will be working on and am really excited to take on the responsibility of continuing to deliver impactful B2B digital campaigns for our clients.
Having been out of the B2B marketing space for the last couple of years with more of a digital focus working with B2C focused brands I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work with our talented, Strategy, Creative and Content teams, and weave in my strengths from a digital strategy and planning perspective.
My overriding feeling of my first week is that I have stepped into an environment that is passionate about what we do and takes time to truly understand our clients and build meaningful personal connections and trust with them.
